During the Serbian Cup 2024 in Niš, on April 6th and 7th, as part of the project called “Basketball inclusive games – BIG” which is implemented as part of the Erasmus Sport program under the auspices of the EU, a seminar on wheelchair basketball was organized. The seminar covered topics related to the history, classification system, game rules, and inclusive activities in wheelchair basketball, as one of the most attractive sports for PWDs. The lecturers at the seminar were Prof. Igor Dorđević, long-term referee of the First Men’s Basketball League of Serbia and refereeing commissioner of the Balkan Wheelchair Basketball League – BWBL and dr Miljan Hadžović from the Faculty of Sport and Physical Education of the University of Niš. The lectures were attended by basketball referees interested in refereeing in this sport, as well as coaches and players of all clubs/members of the Association of Wheelchair Basketball Clubs.

Dr.Miljan Hadžović is

Assistant coach of Serbian wheelchair basketball team and from 2017 to present – Head coach
Wheelchair Basketball Club “Nais”, Niš, Serbia.

Igor Djordjevic is the organizer of courses for referees and training of referees for National and FIBA competitions. His vision – „I am an active and responsible team player, who is proficient in sport management. I aim to be better every day. I finished my education very fast because I wanted to work and prove myself. My motto: “Every day in every way, self-improving”.
