We are excited to introduce our instructor for the referees’ clinic in Sofia, Bulgaria. Žarko Tomšič, a veteran basketball referee from Slovenia, will be leading the clinic.

Basketball Referee:

Žarko has an extensive background as a basketball referee, serving from 1975 to 2009 across all levels in Slovenia and the former Yugoslavia.

Wheelchair Basketball Referee:

His journey in wheelchair basketball officiating began in 1979, and he continued to referee until 2009. By 1985, he had earned his credentials as an international wheelchair basketball referee.

Instructor and Supervisor:

From 1999 to the present, Žarko has been active as a referee and supervisor in European club competitions, European Championships, World Championships, and the Paralympics.

Executive Role:

Since 2015, he has been a member of the IWBF Europe Executive Council.
