Bulgarian Wheelchair Basketball Championship concludes with strong rerformances for season 2023/24

The Bulgarian Wheelchair Basketball Championship recently concluded with an exciting final round organized by the Bulgarian Basketball Federation, bringing together teams from across the country in an inspiring display of skill and determination. In one of the standout games, BKHU Levski triumphed over Cherno More Ticha, showcasing exceptional team performance. Levski led by 6 points after the first quarter and increased the advantage to a commanding 27:6 by halftime. Despite Cherno More’s efforts to close the gap in the second half, Levski maintained control and prevented any comeback.

Levski also secured a significant victory against the other Sofia-based team, overcoming an early deficit to turn the game in their favor. Anton Fikov led with a remarkable double-double of 19 points and 13 rebounds.

These performances underline the Bulgarian Basketball Federation’s commitment to inclusivity and the high level of competition in adaptive basketball in Bulgaria. With increased public interest, the championship set a new standard for wheelchair basketball, highlighting the athleticism and sportsmanship of all involved.
